Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about Alivora.

About the sessions

Do I have to stay for the full session?

No. Stay for five minutes or the full session. Every minute counts. There's no minimum time requirement.

Can I study any subject?

Yes. Bring your own notes, textbooks, flashcards, or practice papers — whatever you're working on.

Is there a chat or social element?

Not during sessions. The focus room is intentionally quiet. Shared presence without distraction. You see others are there, but the work is your own.

What age is Alivora for?

Alivora is designed primarily for secondary school and university students, though anyone who wants a calm, consistent study habit is welcome.

When will I receive my Zoom link?

You'll receive the Zoom link for that month's focus rooms after you sign up and before your first session takes place.

Can I do this myself for free?

Absolutely. But in practice, students are much more consistent when sessions are facilitated and they can see others working alongside them. The shared focus makes it easier to show up — and to keep showing up.

Safety

Is Alivora safe for under-16s?

Yes. Sessions are designed with student safety at the centre. Cameras and microphones are off throughout, chat is disabled, and students are encouraged to use an animal display name rather than their real name. I am a qualified UK teacher and hold PVG certification through Disclosure Scotland, so a vetted adult is present in every session.

Pricing and subscriptions
